When I first made these out of some scraps of poplar from the Sawhorse Seats, I wasn't sure what to call them. Hot plates? Pot holders? Nope. Trivets. Thanks Mom. They're made from poplar, a very tough and naturally smooth wood, and come in a set of three. They're squares and they measure 7 1/4", 6 1/4", and 5 1/4". They'll save your wooden or plastic surfaces from the heat of a pot or a pan thats hot off the press.
